Members Approve Credit Union Merger

Amid several standing ovations and thunderous applause, the 28th annual meeting of the St. Clare’s Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union came to an end.

After 28 years, a total of 5,337 members and more than $5 million in assets, the St. Clare’s Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union will close its doors March 28, at 1 p.m. In a nearly unanimous member vote, the final milestone in the merger with Sunmark Federal Credit Union was achieved

A resolution honoring Jim who served for 22 years as the credit union’s chief executive was presented by Randy Stark, St. Clare’s Vice President of Human Resources, on behalf of the hospital’s administration and staff. Sharing in the evening’s tribute were Melinda Moran and Courtney Bull. All three will join the Sunmark staff: Jim, as Business Development Executive; Melinda, Mortgage Assistant and Courtney, Member Services Representative.

Among the nearly 140 members and guests in attendance were representatives of Sunmark FCU including Bruce M. Beaudette, President and CEO.

Credit Union members will find services available at all Sunmark locations beginning March 31, 2008.
